The mill

The mill is the company.

Thermosticks isn't a warehouse reselling containers. Finnish-modified lumber arrives here rough; our moulder turns it into the profile on your drawing. Milling in-house is why prices stay published, lead times stay at 2–4 weeks, and custom work costs a flat tooling charge instead of a minimum-order wall.

How an order runs

Five steps, no mystery.

01

Send the spec

Square footage and a profile, or just a section drawing. Email, form, or a phone call to the shop — whatever's fastest for you.

02

Delivered price, next day

You get an itemized quote within one business day: boards, tooling if any, and freight to your zip. No callback loop, no account required.

03

Knives & first article

For custom profiles, we grind the knives and run a first article — then photograph it against your drawing before running the order.

04

Mill, grade, tally

Every board is graded coming off the moulder. Offgrade never gets bundled — it goes to the cutoff rack, not your jobsite.

05

Packed & shipped

Bundles are wrapped, labeled, and loaded. A mill tally sheet and grading record ride with every shipment.

The paper trail

Documentation you can put in the spec.

Everything an architect or building department asks for, in one place.

Provenance

Modified in Finland. Milled here.

The thermal modification happens in Finland, to the ThermoWood® standard — the country and the process that invented the category. Everything after that happens in our shop in Greenville: profiling, end-matching, grading, and packing.

That split is deliberate. Finland does the one thing it does better than anyone; we do the milling close to your jobsite, where a question about a profile is a conversation, not a time zone.
